Summertime is full of outside fun in the sun but forgetting to stay hydrated can take a toll on your body. Here are some great fruits and vegetables to keep you hydrated so you can continue to play longer.

The most important thing to keep you hydrated of course is water, so make sure you are drinking the recommended 9-13 cups a day. Depending on the humidity and temperature your water needs can vary. To be sure you are getting enough water, try eating raw fruits and veggies with high water content.

Some of the highest in water content for fruit according to the University of Kentucky, College of Agriculture are strawberries (92%), watermelon (92%), cantaloupe (90%), grapefruit (91%), pineapple (87%), and blueberries (85%).

And some of the highest water content in vegetables are, cucumber (96%), red tomato (94%), green cabbage (93%), spinach (92%), broccoli (91%), carrots (87%).

I like to make a nutriblast with these fruits and vegetables in my Nutribullet but if you like to juice or blend you can do that too.

My daily blast is 1 cup raw spinach, 4 baby carrots, 4 large strawberries, 2 slices of pineapple, 1/2 cup blueberries with 1 cup of water. Nutritious and delicious!

What's your favorite blend?
