Baubles for Branches - plant a tree program
Trees are the “lungs of the earth.” They filter carbon dioxide and release oxygen, helping to balance the air and maintain a healthy atmosphere.
Unfortunately, our trees are in grave danger. Urban growth, logging, ranching and mining have all contributed greatly to the reduction of our forests. If we don’t start protecting these precious resources, they will soon be gone.
That’s why Green Diva has made a commitment to plant one tree for every piece of eco jewelry sold. We call it our “Baubles for Branches” program. Through the Nature Conservancy, we will be planning trees in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil, which has been reduced to only 7% of its original glory.
Can you picture the size of a forest that stretches across the entire eastern seaboard, from Maine to South Carolina? Well, that is how large the Atlantic Forest once was. Because of human interference, it is now merely a shadow of itself.
